Patient Information
First Visit
At what age do you recommend seeing the dentist?
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends seeing a dentist when your child’s first tooth erupts or by their first birthday.
What to expect on your first visit?
Each visit is unique to your child’s needs. Your child will receive a dental examination, a cleaning, a fluoride treatment and x-rays as deemed necessary. Depending on age and cooperation, your child may either sit on your lap for the visit or sit on the chair themselves.
Financing and Insurance
We welcome patients with all dental insurance, and we are in-network with most insurance companies. If you have insurance that is not in our network our staff will complete and submit dental insurance forms on behalf of your child as a courtesy. Payment is expected at the time of treatment and insurance reimbursement will be sent directly to you.
At your initial appointment you will be responsible for the portion of the fees not covered by your insurance. Prior to completing any restorative treatment, we will provide you with an estimate of our total fee, your estimated insurance coverage, and your estimated out-of-pocket costs. Please remember, these are only estimates and may change during the course of treatment. There are times when treatment alterations become necessary and thus treatment costs will change. Lastly, most insurances do not tell us exactly what they will pay until the claim for completed treatment is submitted. Therefore, we do our best to estimate the cost as close as possible.
